Home education is small, and growing.
As at 1 July 2025 there were 11,010 homeschooled students in New Zealand, across 6,518 families — about 1.3% of total school enrolments. Just over three in five of those students were aged 12 or under.
It is a small community and a well-connected one, which is why we would rather earn a place in it by being useful and honest than by advertising at it.

What Abbi does not do
Abbi is a maths tutor, not a curriculum. It will not plan your year, cover every learning area, or satisfy your reporting obligations on its own. It does one job — patient, consistent, evidenced maths practice with honest reporting — and leaves the rest of the programme to you.
